AWANA!
Our initial numbers of children attending was small this week as our first "official" night kicked off. Invite friends, spread the word, we want to fill the building up with kids! Men's Breakfast Saturday October 23rd This will be a monthly event with breakfast, devotion, and some building maintenance. Shoeboxes The Samaritan's Purse shoeboxes will be getting wrapped Monday 10/4 at 6:30pm . Come and help wrap! Thankful for Prayers from the Moulton's Mark and Nancy Moulton express their thanks for the prayers this week as Mark is recovering from surgery. Prayers for members who have COVID Please pray for Pat Thiry and Joanne Sybrant who are both dealing with COVID right now.  Youth Group Trout Lake Camp If you have youth in grades 7-12, registration for Trout Lake Camp weekend (October 15-17) is due ASAP. The cost per youth is $46. Please email [email protected].  Awana Kick-Off is THIS WEDNESDAY! You can pre-register on our website at http://www.rushcitychurch.org/about-awana.html or register on that night. Parents and kids should plan to stay for FOOD and an information meeting. Can't wait to have all the kids in the building again! Don't forget, once you've registered for Awana, you can join our private Facebook group to follow along with everything that's happening during the year. https://www.facebook.com/groups/490831442271358/ Awana Volunteer Meeting -We would like to have one more brief meeting today Sunday, September 19 immediately after church to go through some of these details, schedules, and changes. This meeting should take about 30 minutes.
If you have made a commitment to this ministry this year, please plan on attending this meeting. We have quite a few new items this year that you'll need to be aware of. Nursery Sign-Up We have a new Nursery sign-up sheet on the secretary office door. If you’re able, please take a slot to help with the young kids during the worship service. Awana Our Awana team is still prepping and planning for Awana. Reminder that our Kick-off/Cook out and Registration night is Sept 22. If you missed the Ministry Safe training, but still want to be involved, please see someone on the Awana team - Scott, Kathleen, Whitney, Emily or Jason. Samaritan’s purse Now is the time to be looking for items. See Nancy Moulton if you have any questions Greeters We are starting to run low on volunteers to be greeters. If you’re interested, please see Al Lindgren Congregational Meeting Aug 22. Elders discussed what they’ve been up to and had a time of feedback from the congregation. After that October 1st, the P3 program will take a few weeks to get some candidates for us and we are planning to begin the first round of interviews mid to late November. |
